Young at Heart

  Jesus made it very clear that His time had come.  And He wanted His disciples to continue showing love for one another, just as He had shown love to each of them.  Our seniors express not only their love for one another, but their intense love for Christ through their words as well as their actions.  At practically every event that takes place at Southside, you'll find seniors serving in various capacities.  Whether you find them greeting, praying, teaching, leading, cooking, serving, or just enjoying a time of fellowship, you'll find that they do these things out of love for their Lord and one another, not out of obligation.  That is the heartbeat of Southside Baptist Church.  It’s been said several times that if there was a way to take a DNA sample from within our church, that sample would reveal only one thing...LOVE.
